Ronald G. "Ron" Goodrich, 60 of Dakota Dunes died Monday, April 19th,1999, at a Rochester, Minn. hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kevin Lee officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Goodrich was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Champaign, Ill., the son of David H. and Opal P. (Barnhart) Goodrich. He moved with his family to Sioux City as a child. He graduated from Central High School and attended the University of South Dakota.

He married Phyllis A. Lauritsen on June 7, 1959, in South Sioux City. He currently held the position of vice president of operations at IBP, with whom he had been associated for a total of 30 years.

He was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church, Dakota Dunes Country Club and a former member of 185th Iowa Air National Guard. He enjoyed golfing, his annual fishing trip to Canada, hunting in Idaho and Kansas and spending time at his summer home at Lake Okoboji.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Kim and Bob Wilson of Sioux City; a son, Kirk of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother and his wife, David and Rita of Perry, Iowa; two grandsons, A.J. and Dillon Godfrey; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Robert Conlon, David Hixson, Thomas Trosper, Ray Hollingsworth, Jerry Scott, Keith Tinglehoff, David Layhee and Jim Fowler.

Memorials may be directed to Siouxland Regional Cancer Center or Girls Inc.
